Easter Reflection

"…Your will be done!"

During Holy Week we encounter Jesus' disciples. Those who followed him were not perfect by any means. They were human being with talents and flaws, just like us.

One of the scripture passages that stands out for those discerning a vocation is on Holy Thursday when Jesus is struggling to know God's will. God was calling him to do something beyond where he wanted to go at that point.

Jesus was in a discernment process. Note, it wasn't easy for him either!

He had to deal with a difficult issue...he took it to God…told him how he felt about it, his fears and concerns…was open to what God was asking of him...came to a point of acceptance and decision...and went forward in commitment and peace! Jesus probably still had fears and concerns, but now also had courage!

May you continue to seek and find God's will, and in the process experience God's deep love.
