Happy New Year!

Is this a year for resolutions or choices?

A few years ago I made a New Year's Eve Retreat at our Franciscan Center in Tampa and Fr. Sam, a Franciscan, suggested we consider not resolutions, but what choices we will make for the year. That seems much more realistic. So often by the third week into the year we have already forgotten our resolutions!

Consider what choices you are making regarding religious life this year. Do I choose to pray, go to adoration, or go to Mass during the week? Do I choose to make a Discernment or Come and See Retreat so that I can listen more deeply to the Lord? Do I choose to talk with someone about this inner yearning I am feeling?

What choices are you making this year? **Note the scripture readings as we begin the New Year. So many of them refer to "call stories." Electronic Newsletter We published our first electronic edition of Followers of Francis in December. If you would like to receive it please (Jackie, can you put a button or something that they can press for the newsletter here, or tell them how to do it? Should we put something else about the newsletter in?) Upcoming Discernment Days / Retreats Kingston, Jamaica…Miami…New York City…Boston…Allegany…Tampa…Haddonfield, NJ. Refer to Discernment Retreats for dates, to register and for more information. I invite you join us! New addition to our office We are happy to have Belkis Abraham join us in the office. When you call, not only will she graciously assist you, but also she is also proficient in Spanish. We warmly welcome her to our ministry. May this New Year be filled with abundant blessings. May you choose to listen and respond….if God is calling you. Peace and All Good, Sr. Mary

As always, feel free to contact me for more information on any of the above.

On behalf of our sisters, novices, candidates, and women in discernment with us, I wish you a blessed and Merry Christmas, one in which God will show you the way for your journey.

Peace,
