Easter...New Life!
A basic theme of Easter is "new life." Note the scriptures of the Easter season. It is a time when Jesus is connecting with his disciples, in many different ways and situations. He is challenging them to recognize him in their lives, to believe, and to change. He is offering them new life!
Is Jesus doing the same with you? Do you feel God's tremendous personal love for you? Do you want to respond, but are not sure how or when? Be open to new opportunities...experiences...possibilities. Don't miss them!
Not only has God blessed us with Easter, but we also have Spring. (If you are in the midst of a snow storm, pretend!) Spring is a time for change, new life, and growth. The time is now. A seed planted long ago is ready to change, to respond to God's warmth and call to come forth. Is that the analogy of your life? Are you yearning for something more? Is it the time to respond? Is God calling you to be a disciple, to "come follow me?" Are you ready to say yes...at least be open to the possibility?
