About Our Retreats The Franciscan Sisters of Allegany host Discernment Retreats in different geographic areas for women who are listening to God's call, and discerning a vocation to religious life. In addition to considering the topics of call, discernment and the elements of religious life, there is time for reflection, prayer and liturgy. Women find these retreats helpful in their discernment process. They enjoy sharing with other women who are on the same journey, discerning a call to religious life.
