Do you feel that you are missing something? One of our Associates told us, “This is exactly what I was looking for!” Are you drawn to live out the Gospel way of life as St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi, sharing God’s love with all people?

Jesus’ first two disciples asked him, “Where do you live?’ Jesus’ response was “Come and See.” We, the Associates of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, invite YOU to “Come and See!”

In our monthly meetings as an Associate Community, we have prayer…fun… laughter… and meaningful discussions. Come and explore “What is it that Jesus is asking of YOU?” Trust in the Holy Spirit within YOU! It is your soul that makes YOU unique.

We seek to serve God’s people in a variety ways…

Some of us are involved in the “The Lord’s Miracle Acre” – an ecumenical gardening endeavor that helps feed the hungry by providing produce for local food pantries
Some work with the Brunswick Homeless Coalition – provides support to the Coalition who in turn shelters the homeless of our area
Some provide meals to those in Hospice – touching the lives of the sick and dying
Some are members of “Yesterday’s Memories,” a choral group that visits Nursing Homes, bringing musical joy to the lonely
Some share their green thumbs, tending to “The Giving Garden,” located at St. Brendan’s Church, providing for the Parish Food Pantry
While others teach ESL (English Speakers of other Languages)

You are invited to share your own gifts and talents with our friendly, spirit-ﬁlled Franciscan family.

Come share our journey of joy and walk with us toward inner peace.

We currently meet at the Franciscan Center on the 2nd. Saturday of the month from

1:00-3:00 PM, followed by Hospitality and 4:00 PM Mass.

The Tampa Bay FSA Associate Community consists of women and men of all faiths who seek to live the Gospel way of life, following in the footsteps of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi. Drawn to the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany charism of “being at home with all people,” we gather each month to pray, to share in discussions that grow our spirituality, our love of God, of Francis and Clare, and of one another. Partnering with our Sisters in Mission and ministry, we engage in various community outreach service projects, while also delighting in the company of one another as companions on the journey, through varied and shared experiences, as well as hospitality. Whenever possible, we too are blessed to celebrate the Eucharist together.

As a hybrid Associate Community of individuals living in the Tampa Bay Area who gather in person, we are blessed to also be joined by other FSA Associates and Inquirers via Zoom who although located elsewhere, both throughout the United States and Canada, we share our common Franciscan heart and spirit. Like the immense love of God, our boundaries are limitless with arms wide open and welcoming all. We are a group of people who strive to live the Gospel values as Saints Francis and Clare did in partnership with the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, NY. In our monthly meetings we share prayer, spiritual readings, and presentations. We also discuss ways to reach out and support other ministries that enhance the dignity of all people.

We welcome all those who are seeking to enrich their faith, experience perfect joy, and become one with all people. We meet on the second Saturday of each month at 9:30 AM, and our meetings are usually in the Manahawkin or Long Beach Island areas in South Jersey.

Associates of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany are people, of various denominations and backgrounds, who strive to live Gospel values through the lens of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. “Rooted in God’s Love, we respond to the diverse needs of the world by building relationships that bear witness to the Franciscan-Clarian charism.”

Come join our monthly meetings where spiritual growth happens through interacting with Associates and Sisters, and Franciscan studies and discussion. We put into action “our Franciscan Way of Life” by sharing our gifts and talents to bring God’s love to all through supporting the works of local charities, volunteering in our local communities and churches, advocating for Social Justice issues, and committing to caring for all of creation.

Meetings are held at St. Elizabeth Motherhouse at 9:45 the 2nd Saturday of the month.

We meet monthly on the third Sunday of the month at 2:30 PM, both in person and on Zoom, for prayer and faith sharing, rotating our meetings between our “Clare House East” home in Dade County and “Clare House West” in Broward County.

The Miami Franciscan Associate Community, which began gathering in the early 1980s under the guidance of Sisters Michele Dolyk and Lucy Cardet, consists of committed Associates and Inquirers from Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties in south Florida. We live out the Franciscan-Clarian Way of Life in our individual professions and parishes, sharing the spirit of Saints Francis and Clare with our families, friends and co-workers.

We often share our Transitus and/or Christmas celebrations with the Spanish Prayer Group at St. Rose of Lima parish in Miami Shores and support the CCD ministry at Notre Dame d’Haiti parish in Miami.
